Company Description
Rising Lotus Children’s Village (RLCV) is a 501(c)3 non-profit children’s foundation located in Kirtipur, Nepal with legal status in both the United States & Nepal. Since its founding in 2006, RLCV has raised over 40 children who come from extreme poverty providing them with housing, private school education, three nutritional meals daily, social connection, & most of all: a safe and loving place to call home. Currently, RLCV supports only girls due to the societal barriers they face in Nepali society. The RLCV staff cares for girls in their developmental years, ages 5 to 17, with the mission to see disadvantaged Nepali girls transcend poverty, secure better futures through education, & become positive, contributing members of their community. Selection criteria entails girls who are orphaned, neglected, abandoned or live in extreme poverty. 100% of donations support raising 20 to 30 girls at a given time. RLCV was founded by Tracy Torregrossa-Brandt & Hari Prasad Sharma.
