We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Database Engineer to join our team. As a Database Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our company’s databases. Your expertise in database management will be instrumental in ensuring data consistency, security, and optimal performance.
Job Description
- Design, implement, and maintain databases, including data models, schema design, and database objects, in accordance with industry best practices.
- Optimize database performance by utilizing query optimization techniques, indexing, and other tuning methodologies to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
- Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and security by implementing data validation measures, as well as establishing robust backup and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate closely with software developers to seamlessly integrate databases into software applications, ensuring smooth data flow and interaction.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including data dictionaries and data flow diagrams, to facilitate efficient communication and understanding.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including replication, synchronization, and connectivity problems, to minimize downtime and maintain database reliability.
Salary : 30K-45K
Qualification for Database Engineer
- Bachelor’s Running or Completed or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in database engineering, administration, or development.
- Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, and the ability to work with different database technologies based on project requirements.
- Proficiency in NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB, and an understanding of when and how to use NoSQL solutions effectively.
- Experience in database design, data modeling, and schema design to create efficient and scalable databases.
- Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques to enhance the overall system performance.
- Understanding of database security practices, backup procedures, and recovery mechanisms to protect data integrity and availability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve database-related issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork with other engineers and stakeholders.
