Our client is looking for a talented and detail-oriented QA Engineer with mid-level experience to join our team and help ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our software solutions. As a Mid-Level QA Engineer, you will be responsible for executing and enhancing the quality assurance process for our products. This role requires hands-on experience in manual testing, API testing, and security testing, ensuring that our applications meet the highest standards of quality and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and operations teams, to identify defects and potential security vulnerabilities early in the development lifecycle.

This role has an expectation of both Quality Assurance and Quality Control. We define these as QA primarily focuses on the processes and procedures that improve quality, including training, documentation, monitoring and audits. QC focuses on the product to find defects that remain after development using a variety of testing methods.

Key Responsibilities:
● Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective
● Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and
provide testing estimates
● Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
● Conduct functional testing to ensure the application behaves as expected based on the
requirements.
● Execute smoke tests to verify the stability of the critical features after a build or
deployment.
● Perform sanity tests to ensure that recent changes or fixes have not introduced new
issues.
● Execute performance testing to assess the system’s scalability, responsiveness, and
stability under load, using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
● Design, execute, and maintain API test cases and validate the integration between
services using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar
● Identify and report security vulnerabilities, working with development teams to ensure
remediation
● Execute regression testing, ensuring that new code does not negatively impact existing
functionality
● Document and track software defects, monitor defect resolutions, and ensure timely and
effective closure
● Develop, maintain, and improve QA processes and best practices for manual, API, and
security testing
● Stayup-to-date with the latest industry trends and security best practices

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or
equivalent work experience
● 3-5years of experience in quality assurance with a focus on manual testing, API testing,
and security testing
● Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI
● Experience with security testing tools and methodologies (e.g., OWASP guidelines, SQL
injection, XSS, etc.)
● Familiarity with testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) and understanding of SDLC
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
● Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail,
or similar
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
● Knowledge of automation testing frameworks and scripting is a plus
● Experience in load and performance testing is a bonus
● Security certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or similar are advantageous
