Job Description

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Junior-Level WordPress Developer to join their team.The company is committed to pioneering innovative solutions using cutting-edge technology. Their mission is to revolutionise industries through forward-thinking approaches and to create a positive impact on society by addressing contemporary challenges head-on.  They are looking for the  ideal candidate who has a strong understanding of WordPress development and customization, as well as experience working with plugins and themes.

Location

The job starts with one month of remote work, then moves to office-based work at Shankhamul.

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Develop and maintain WordPress websites for our clients, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
  • Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to implement website features and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to WordPress websites.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in WordPress development.

 

Requirements:

Required Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in WordPress design/development.
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
  • Strong understanding of WordPress architecture and best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills

  • Experience with responsive and mobile design.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce.
  • Experience with website performance optimization techniques.
  • Understanding of security best practices for WordPress websites.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
  • Experience with server administration and hosting environments.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines.
