Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join their team for a project-based contract. This role requires a strong background in Oracle Database administration along with expertise in Terraform, Java, Linux systems, and Git/GitHub. The Senior DBA will play a key role in managing enterprise-level data migrations, ensuring database security, performance, and scalability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Job Type: Hybrid (Project-Based Contract for 6 months)

Location: Imadol, Lalitpur

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases for high performance and reliability.
  • Perform backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Monitor database performance and implement improvements.
  • Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code, automating database deployment and configuration.
  • Work with Java-based applications to ensure seamless integration with databases.
  • Optimize database queries and APIs for efficient communication.
  • Manage Linux-based database servers, including configuration, updates, and security hardening.
  • Ensure server uptime and efficient operation of databases.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a DBA, with a strong focus on Oracle Database administration.
  • Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Solid experience with Java development and integration into different applications.
  • Strong background in Linux systems and administration.
  • Proficient in using Git/GitHub for source control and collaborative development.
  • Ability to work effectively on complex, high-impact projects.
  • Having worked on enterprise-level data migration is highly preferred.
